Nkhangweni Ndou holds B.Proc and LLB (Post-graduate) degrees from the University of the North (now Limpopo), obtained in 1993 and 1995, respectively. He also holds a Certificate in Advanced Company Law from the University of the Witwatersrand (2004); and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA) from the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), University of Pretoria (2008).

He is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa, and has over 20 years of practical legal experience.

Nkhangweni has served as both external and in-house legal counsel. As in-house legal counsel, he has served in various senior and executive management positions in both the private and the public sectors. These include having served as Senior Legal Counsel (in-house) for Sasol and Sappi (2003-2008); Chief Director responsible for Legal, Governance, Risk and Transactions at the Department of Public Enterprises (2008-2011); and as Head of Legal Services for the Technology Innovation Agency (2011-2014).

Prior to co-founding NVG, of which he is a managing partner, he practiced as Senior Associate Director at Mkhabela Huntley Adekeye Inc., one of the leading black corporate and commercial law firms in South Africa, based in Sandton, Johannesburg.

He has extensive experience in the legislative and regulatory frameworks governing state owned enterprises, such as the PFMA and the attendant Treasury Regulations, among others.

He has established and managed legal departments during his time as in-house legal counsel, which entailed developing legal services strategic and operational plans of such departments. This experience makes him acutely aware and knowledgeable of the effective manner in which the services required to effectively support and enhance the strategic objectives of our corporate clients, are to be rendered.
